17.04.2023Music Festival "Tsars and Muses: Opera at the Russian Court"
This year concludes the four-year Music Festival at the Moscow Kremlin Museums, which was dedicated to the development of Russian opera. The festival covers a wide period from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The project was launched in 2018 with a dramatised performance based on a play by Simeon Polotsky.
17.03.2023 - 20.08.2023The Heavenly Host. Image and Veneration
The exhibition unfolds the 1000-year old history of warrior saints in Russian art, from the pre-Mongol period to the 20th century, bringing together over one hundred and thirty masterpieces of iconography, sculpture, secular painting, numismatics, phaleristics, arms and armor, jewellery.
10.02.2023 - 19.04.2023Korea and the Armoury Chamber. The History of the Coronation Gift to the Last Emperor
The Moscow Kremlin Museums are introducing the exhibition on the history of the gifts presented by the Extraordinary Korean Embassy to Emperor Nicholas II on the occasion of his coronation in 1896.
