The exhibition in the Württemberg State Museum covers the centuries-old history of the close diplomatic and dynastic relations between the Russian Empire and the Duchy of Württemberg, at first, and then - the Kingdom of Württemberg.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the exhibition project being carried out by the Museum of National History in Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark, which chronicles Russo-Danish relations 1600-1900 through a display of precious artifacts gathered from both Danish and Russian museums*.

The project, designed and carried out by the Army Museum in collaboration with the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bonn, incorporates over 300 precious loans from all over the world to present the figure and personality of Napoleon and his time.

The exhibition, being held by the Victoria and Albert Museum, reveals the history of the diplomatic and cultural relations between Russia and Britain, which have been developed since 1555, when the English trading company, also called the Muscovy company, has been chartered to have a monopoly on trade between the two countries.

One of the most precious Kremlin collections of a great historical and cultural value is the one incorporating pieces of jewellery produced by the famous Faberge firm, the distinguished Russian firms of P. Ovchinnikov, I. Khlebnikov, O. Kurlyukov, G. Klingert, M. Semyonov.

The exhibition covers the period from 1547, the time of Ivan the Terrible's accession to the throne, to 1712, when a new capital was established by Peter the Great in Saint-Petersburg.

The exhibition explores the history and aspects of the Russian-German political and cultural relations, covering a period of one thousand years.
