The exhibition "The World of 1607" is dedicated to the history of the first permanent English settlement in North America, which turned out to become a new nation. The display reveals the main events of the Jamestown Settlement's foundation and development as a part of the world's history. Within the display visitors will see the exhibits of Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center and unique items from the international collections all over the world.
The Moscow Kremlin Museums represent 19 unique items from the collection of the ambassadorial gifts within the display. Each item reveals the peculiarities of the diplomatic relationships between Russia and European and Oriental countries of the XVIIth century.
We will see artworks by famous West-European silversmiths, horse harness, precious fabrics, ceremonial weapons, exotic Eastern items as well as carved crosses and staffs, accepted from the representatives of the Christian East.
