United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, the exhibition hall “Emirate Palace”
- Organized by:
- The Moscow Kremlin Museums, Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, ADACH
The first vast exhibition of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, organized in United Arab Emirates, represents the most magnificent and precious items of the museum's collection and funds - items of the Armoury Chamber, a world-wide known Russian treasure-house. The visitors are to see arms and armour, horse ceremonial harness by Russian, European and Eastern makers, which reveal the development of the Russian court life and culture during many centuries. A high emphasis is placed on arms, executed in the Middle East countries.
Some of the articles are related to important events in the Russian history. For example, a sabre, granted by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan, the first president of the United Arab Emirates, to L. Brezhnev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, as an evidence of valid diplomatic relations between the very two countries.
