With the blessing of His Holiness, Patriarch Cyril of Moscow and All Russia, the year 2021 commemorates the 300th Anniversary of establishing the Holy Synod and creating Synodal institutions.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in a large-scale exhibition called 'Strange Proximity Happen', which will be the main event in the artistic life of the capital in the fall of 2021. The show will occupy the central exhibition line and several halls of the main building of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

The exhibition of artefacts, associated with Prince Dmitry Pozharsky, a national hero of the Time of Troubles in the early 17th century, is arranged by the Moscow Kremlin Museums and the State Historical Museum for one of the youngest state holidays of modern Russia – the Day of National Unity.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition dedicated to the 250th Anniversary of I.F. Krusenstern and the 215th Anniversary of the first Russian round-the-world voyage. The visitors' experience is expanded through memorabilia associated with Admiral I. F. Krusenstern, i.e. casket bureau, personal letters, book collection and globe, convolute map atlases with autographic notes in pencil.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition project dedicated to the 800th birth anniversary of the blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums present an exhibition dedicated to Emperor Alexander I in the State Museum of the South Ural History. His name is inseparably bound with the victory of Russia in the Patriotic War of 1812, the establishment of lasting peace on the European continent, and the transformation of the Armory Chamber into a unique museum.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums takes part in the exhibition devoted to cavalry escort units and divisions that used to accompany Russian tsars and emperors, as well as the modern Cavalry Honor Guard of the Presidential Regiment of the Moscow Kremlin Commandant Service of the Russian Federation Federal Guard Service.

The exhibition shows one of the most vivid periods in Russian history – early 17th - first quarter of the 18th century – the time of the new dynasty formation, overcome the consequences of the Time of Troubles, the economic development of the state, and Russia’s turning into a mighty and high-powered nation.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the exhibition project dedicated to the 400th Birth Anniversary of Avvakum Petrovich, archpriest, encourager and spiritual leader of the Old Believers.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the exhibition dedicated to the most significant and exemplary works in terms of design and decoration made by Tula armourers representing this art most vividly and diversely.

The collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums contains unique art pieces reflecting the centuries-old history of relations between Russia and Oriental countries. Among them are State regalia, ceremonial weapons, magnificent horse harness, pieces made of gold and precious stones, luxurious fabrics, works of stone-carving art, presented in the 16th-19th centuries as diplomatic gifts or purchased for royal use.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the exhibition project dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the State Historical Museum and the 175th Birth Anniversary of Emperor Alexander III.
