The Moscow Kremlin Museums are one of the participants in the "Pushkin. 225" exhibition project of the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin, which coincides with the 225thanniversary of the literary great's birth. The exhibition features exhibits from federal and regional museums, libraries, archives, theatres, creative associations and private collections.

The exhibition aims to demonstrate the diversity of perceptions of A.S. Pushkin as a man, a poet and prose writer, a national symbol, a hero of anecdotes and myths, and a trade mark. The number "225" in the title of the exhibition indicates both the poet's anniversary, and defines the chronological limits of the project, which tells about the life, work and legacy of Alexander Sergeyevich for more than two centuries, from 1799 to the present.

Among the memorabilia associated with Alexander Pushkin are two bridal crowns from the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums. They date from the end of the 18th century and come from the Moscow Church of the Great Ascension at the Nikitsky Gate. Richly decorated with diamonds, rubies and pearls, the silver-gilt crowns with enamel medallions were probably made at the Duval Workshop in St Petersburg on behalf of Prince Gregory Alexandrovich Potemkin. According to legend, they were used at the wedding of Alexander Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova, which took place in the Church of the Great Ascension on 18 February (2 March, New Style) 1831, from where they were transferred to the Armory Chamber in 1931.
