1# Bracelet The opening of the memorial exhibition is timed to the 85th anniversary of Manaba Magomedova (1928-2013) - the unique artist, known as the first and so far the only woman in the centuries-old history of the Kubachi jewellery making and metalworking. Her talent and craftsmanship are revealed through masterpieces enchased with semiprecious stones and finished with filigree, niello, cloisonné, enamel.

The exposition incorporates bracelets, rings, necklaces, plates, jugs etc., folk musical instruments, pieces of armour and silver book covers as well as some outstanding works from Manaba's workshop. Eight precious artworks created by this celebrated artist are on loan to the Historical Museum from the Kremlin Armoury collection.
