The era of great geographical discoveries provided an opportunity for the mutual enrichment of cultures. As a result of Portugal’s successes, the amount of objects brought to Europe rose significantly. They quickly entered the international market, becoming an important part of cultural and commercial exchange.
The exhibition ‘Lords of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th centuries’ is held from 8/12/2017 till 25/02/2018. Exhibition halls of the Assumption Belfry and the Patriarch's Palace Moscow Kremlin Museums.
