Interaction with the mass media

The Moscow Kremlin Museums are always happy to help and provide information about their activities: permanent collections, temporary exhibitions, educational projects, research and publications.

All requests from the mass media are processed within three to seven days (according to the Law of Russian Federation N 2124-1 "About the Mass Media").

In order to obtain the information and the photo and/or video shoot, it is necessary to send a request on the official letterhead of the organization to Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums E. Yu. Gagarina by e-mail head@kremlin.museum.ru, and a copy of the request – to the Press Office press@kremlin.museum.ru.

The following information should be written in the e-mail:

Request for information

the need to provide a commentary by an expert (the museum's management or a member of staff);
questions on the topic;
in which section and in which context the information provided will be used;
preferred time frame for response and publication;
feedback contact details.

Photo and video request

format and content;
the need to provide a commentary by an expert (the museum's management or a member of staff);
scenario outline and questions on the topic;
preferred filming dated;
a list of the museum objects where filming is planned;
list of exhibits;
a list of the production crew with their passport data (full name, passport series and number, date of issue);
information on the equipment that is to be used in the filming process;
feedback contact details.

Once the request has been considered by the museum director, a press officer will contact the editorial staff.

The exhibition on the era of palace coups is to be held at the Moscow Kremlin MuseumsOn 15 November 2024 the exhibition "The Legacy of Peter the Great and Coups d'Etat in the Russian Empire" will be held in the exhibition halls of the Patriarch's Palace and the Assumption Belfry, and will focus on the "era of court storms" that began after the death of Peter the Great.
