On 25-27 October in the Cross Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace, there was held a jubilee conference, devoted to the history of the Department ‘Museums-Cathedrals’ - one of the principal sectors of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, which had been keeping and restoring heritage sites of the Kremlin over the century.
On 25 August 2022, Elena Gagarina, head of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, spoke at the opening session "Child and Culture. Dialogue of Generations" of the Children's Cultural Forum, which was held in Pavilion 57 at the All-Russia Exhibition Center.
The Moscow Kremlin Museums and the GUM Department Store have set up a joint promotion as part of the exhibition project "The Duel: from Trial by Combat to a Noble Crime". From 08 July to 14 August 2022 GUM visitors will be able to access the exhibition with a discount ticket.
In June 2022, the Moscow Kremlin Museums and izi.TRAVEL, a story-telling platform, have launched an audio guide for the exhibition 'The Duel: from Trial by Combat to a Noble Crime' – which is the first experience of the institution with the company.
On 10 June 2022, the exhibition "1872 Peter the Great's Anniversary in Moscow" will run in the state anteroom of the Armoury Chamber. It is dedicated to the Polytechnic Exhibition that became the most magnificent and extraordinary project 150 years ago, as a part of the celebrations commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the first Russian emperor.
On 5 June 2022, the Moscow Kremlin Museums introduced exhibition programs and editions made especially for the the projects at the book festival "Red Square" that took place in the show-room of the GUM Department Store.
The masterpieces of the House of Fabergé, including the Imperial Easter eggs—the Moscow Kremlin, Alexander Palace, and Romanov Tercentenary—are unpacked and put in a showcase placed in the Russian Jewellery Art of the 17th – Early 20th-century hall in the Armoury Chamber.
On 21 May 2022, the Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the All-Russian campaign “Museum Night”. A special night program begins at the Lecture Hall at Manezhnaya Street and continues as an excursion across the Alexander Garden.
On May 13, 2022, the Moscow Kremlin Museums launched the long-awaited exhibition The Duel: from Trial by Combat to Noble Crime. The major-scale project intends to introduce the Russian public to the European history of duelling through the original historical sources and artefacts of the 16th-17th centuries. Many exhibits have never been previously shown in Moscow or been jointly displayed within a single exhibition space.
The Moscow Kremlin Museums’ album "State Regalia of the Muscovy Tsardom" became the winner in the "Publishing Concept" category and received the "Catalogue of the Year 2021" award.
