On 30 May 2024, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina an Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland', 3d Class.
The solemn ceremony took place in St Catherine Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. Various awards were bestowed on more than thirty persons – military men, space pilots, representatives of public organizations, state officials, cultural workers, mothers of large families, sportsmen and doctors. In her speech, Elena Gagarina stated: "I would like to think that this prize estimates not only my work, but the work of the Moscow Kremlin Museums. Besides, it is my privilege to receive the award in the presence of officers, who have returned from the hot spots today."
