On 7 September 2024, the Open Day was held for the first time in the Museum Lecture Hall on Manezhnaya Street.

Head of the Children’s Centre Nadezhda Roshchina and Chief of the Lecture Department Katalin Medvedeva presented educating projects for the audience. The guests learned about the programmes and the brightest projects of the Lecture Hall and Children’s Centre.

Art historian Dmitry Valyavin, author of scientific articles and books for family reading, gave a lecture “Moscow Kremlin through Centuries”. Vera Tarasova, a candidate for historical sciences and museum guide, introduced the Kremlin's life and its residents to the audience in the first half of the 20th century. The second block of events included the lectures  “One Day from the Tsar’s Life” and “Russian Jewellery Art” by candidate of historical sciences Marina Rakitina and art historian Alina Mironova. 

The visitors also participated in the quizzes “How Well Do You Know the Moscow Kremlin?”, “Moscow Kremlin in the 20th Century”, “Tsar, Tsarevich Were Sitting on the Golden Porch …” and “Yakhont (Old Rus. - sapphire), Lal (ruby) and Adamant (diamond). Russian Jewellers at the Tsar Court”. 

The collaborators of the Children’s Centre carried out an interesting master class for the family audience. The guests aged 7 and over could try armour, learn about the weapons of the 16th-17th cc and create a hand-made doll of “tsar-warrior” on horseback.
