The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in worldwide cultural event #MuseumWeek on social networks, which will last from 23 till 29 April. The #MuseumWeek 2018 is dedicated to values of living together, citizenship and tolerance. The leitmotif remains the same—the role of women in society.
During the whole week, we will be posting materials on our pages on social networks. Through the exhibits from our collection, we will be speaking about famous women in the field of history and their role in forming collections of the Kremlin Museums, about the city situated on Borovitsky Hill and the monuments that keep traces of olden times. On Wednesday we will be speaking about permanent expositions in the Kremlin Museums, which are available for the personal visit and viewing virtual tour as well. On Thursday our followers will get acquainted with museum professions and unique skills of our staff, Friday will be dedicated to the world of childhood, so we would like to show you the items from the Museum’s funds. We will present you nature motifs in art on Saturday, while the "Unity in Difference" theme will complete the event.
The #Museum Week event is held for the fifth time. More than two thousand museums from over ninety countries participate in this event each year, moreover, each year the geography of participants expands. International event #MuseumWeek is the first worldwide cultural event, which aims at popularizing cultural heritage through social networks. In 2018, the event is held on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, as well as on Russian social networks VK and Odnoklassniki. The event of this year is supported by UNESCO.
