The Total Dictation, an annual enlightenment action realized by activists and volunteers and aimed at the studying of the Russian language, was held in the Cross Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace on 20 April 2024. 

The text ‘Truth and Desire’, created by writer Anna Matveeva specially for the project, was read by General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina.  80 participants took part in the dictation.

“I am delighted to see here so many people, who came to write the dictation today, who love Russian language and want to check their knowledge. Russian language is a wonderful tool, with the help of which we can not only communicate, but create various new meanings, notions and thus develop our language,” noted Elena Gagarina.
