Over 1500 exhibits of the 12th—17th centuries at the exposition are the monuments and artefacts, found during the archeological excavations and scientific researches in the Moscow Kremlin territory, which served as valuable material possessions in the past. The collection incorporates masterpieces of decorative and applied arts, pieces of jewellery, arms and armour, silver and gold bullions and coins. It explores the history of the Kremlin as a fortress, center of political and cultural life of the country, introduces the audience to the most valuable Kremlin treasures and its interesting centuries-old history.
