On 23 May 2024, the prize-giving ceremony of the first National Premium in the Museum Sphere Named after D.S. Likhachev was held within the framework of the International Festival  ‘Intermuseum’ in the new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya embankment. This year, the premium covered 76 regions of Russia: there were registered 700 applications from 353 organizations. The awards were given in 16 different categories, half of which was devoted to museum professions, and the other half – to museum projects.

Tatyana Vashchenko, specialist of the Department of Textiles of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, took the prize in the category of ‘Restorer’.

“Let me thank everyone for such a high estimation of my work, that is actually a part of an enormous work of my dear museum to which I owe my evolvement as a restorer. Even the preparation of this part of my work involved all the departments of the Kremlin Museums. I would also like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the competition, while the competitions mean the challenge, and the challenge means progress!” Tatyana Vashchenko shared her opinion with the audience. Besides, she noted that such events were very important for restorers and museum staff members as a motivation to move forward.

The Kremlin Museums staff members congratulate Tatyana Nikolaevna with a deserved award. We are proud and wish Tatyana new heights in the field of restoration!
