General
From 15 May 15 to 30 September the architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square is open from 9:30 to 18.00, from 1 October to 14 May – from 10:00 to 17:00. The Armoury Chamber is open to the public from 10.00 to 18.00 according to timed admission system. The museums are closed on Thursdays.
The ticket office operates from 15 May to 30 September from 09:00 to 17:00, from 1 October to 14 May from 9:30 to 16:30. Please check the main page of our website for changes in the opening hours.
Visitor Centre is open daily: 9:00 – 18:00.
The Visitor Centre is placed in the Alexander Garden. The admission depends on the ticket you've got. The visit to the Cathdral Square is carried out through the Kutafiya Tower, to the Armoury Chamber – through the Borovitskaya Tower.
There are different types of tour groups:
- an organized group (20 adults; or 22 children and 2 accompanying persons);
- an assembled group (max. 20 people);
- - groups of up to 10 persons on individual order.
If you are using the online booking on the museum's website to purchase your excursion tickets, please read User Agreement and Ticketing Policy for organizing excursions, which sets out the rights and obligations of the Customer and the Museum.

You can take a stroller.
Yes, it is possible to visit the Armoury Chamber and the Cathedrals, but you will need accompanying persons to help you up the stairs. The Kremlin Museums are under UNESCO protection, so we are not able to reconstruct the stairs or install lifts to make it easier for the disabled. Your two companions are guaranteed free tickets.
Please kindly understand that photography in the Armoury Chamber is forbidden in order to preserve the artefacts. Amateur photography is permitted in the Museums-Cathedrals, at exhibitions and within the Kremlin area without flash or additional equipment. Video filming is prohibited.
The left luggage office for visitors to the Moscow Kremlin is located at the foot of the Kutafiya Tower. It is open daily from 9:00 to 18:30 (on days of religious events in the Moscow Kremlin cathedrals – from 7:30 to 18:30, on days of performance and entertainment events in the State Kremlin Palace - from 9:00 to 23:00). Dear guests! Please be informed that the Diamond Fund, the Grand Kremlin Palace and Lenin's Mausoleum IS NOT PART of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.
A visit to the Diamond Fund
The exhibition of the Diamond Fund is situated on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin in the building of the Armoury Chamber and is under the control of the Gokhran (State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones).
Sessions from 10:00 to 17:20 daily, except Thursday, at 20 minute intervals. Break from 13:00 to 14:00.
Tickets can be purchased in the ticket window N5 situated in the Alexander Garden or at the Gokhran website. Entrance to the Kremlin is through the Borovitskaya tower. Information: +7(495) 629-20-36.
A visit to the Grand Kremlin Palace
The Grand Kremlin Palace is the residence of the President of the Russian Federation, which hosts official state events.
Visiting the Grand Kremlin Palace and the Faceted Chamber is temporarily suspended.

There are names lists of the recipients of the Order of St George in the George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, including the data until 1875. Please address to the Russian State Military and Historical Archive to receive information about particular recipients. You can also find an edition 'The Military Order of the Holy Great-Martyr George, the Victory-Bearer', Moscow, 2004, 'The list of names of the Order of St George recipients 1769-1920' (available in Russian).
A visit to Lenin's Mausoleum
Lenin's Mausoleum is managed by the Service of the Commandant of the Moscow Kremlin. Open from 10:00 to 13:00 daily, except Friday. Admission is free of charge.
Purchase of tickets
Tickets and tour packages are sold on the museum's official website via the online booking service. The museum can receive a limited number of visitors. We recommend buy tickets in advance to be sure in the visit on the scheduled day.
Tickets sold at the ticket offices of the museum in the Alexander Garden are only for the current date.
Electronic tickets (vouchers) purchased on the museum's website must be exchanged for ticket forms at the museum's ticket office on the day of the event on a first–come, first-served basis upon presentation of customer's ID (to the Armoury Chamber no later than 45 minutes before the start of the session, to the Cathedral Square – without time limit).
Dear visitors, recently there has been an increase in fraudulent attempts to sell tickets to the Moscow Kremlin Museums. Please note that the museum do not cooperate with any online ticketing platform. Tickets are available online at the Museum’s official website kreml.ru and at the official ticket office in the Alexander Garden (Alexandrovsky Sad). The Moscow Kremlin Museums do not guarantee you admission with tickets purchased on non-official websites. Any other website that uses the museum's name in any way has nothing to do with the museum and belongs to resellers who sell tickets for several times more than they cost.
No, you can’t. There is a ticket pre-sale on the website. Tickets for the current day (except guided tours) can only be bought at the ticket office.
Tickets may not be available for sale on the date and time you require in the following circumstances:
- ticket and tour sales have not yet started. Sales start 17 calendar days before the date of your visit. For example, on the first day of the month, the sale opens on the 18th, etc.;
- all tickets/tours for the date or time you want are already sold out;
- the date you have selected is Thursday. The Kremlin is closed to visitors on Thursdays.
No, just buy a ticket to the Armoury Chamber.

There are souvenir and book shops in the Armoury Chamber and near the Patriarch’s Palace. There are also book shops in the Assumption and Archangel Cathedrals.
The right to receive an order may be transferred by the Customer to an authorised person. The trustee presents to the cashier his passport, power of attorney, and in order to confirm the authenticity, a copy of the passport of the principal (Customer), which is then returned to the trustee.
If you have issued individual tickets for a group visit to the museum, only the people whose names you have stated on the order will be able to collect them and enter the museum. In addition, each person can only receive their own ticket.
The Moscow Kremlin Museums offer guided tours in Russian and with an interpreter of your choice. The tours include general information about the architectural ensemble of the Kremlin, the treasures of the world-famous Armoury, the ancient Kremlin cathedrals and their historic burial places, ensembles of wall -painting, collections of Old Russian icons and the Museum of Russian Culture of the 17th century in the halls of the Patriarch's Palace.

Free access to the Moscow Kremlin Museums (except temporary exhibitions in exhibition halls) is available for:
- children under 7 years old;
- members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
Discounted ticket to visit the Armoury Chamber and the Cathedral Square architectural ensemble is available for:
- persons from 7 to 16 years old.
Entrance tickets for privileged categories of citizens are sold at the Museum's ticket offices on the day of the visit upon presentation of the original document confirming the right to benefits (to the Armoury Chamber – no later than 45 minutes before the start of the session, to the Cathedral Square – without time limit).
Refund
It is not possible to change the ticket or move the date/time. You can return the ticket and purchase a new one. Timeframes for refund depend on the type of ticket and are specified in the User Agreement Policy. Tickets received at the ticket office cannot be exchanged or refunded.
To return a ticket purchased online, you need to fill out an application form and send it by e-mail to: tickets-vozvrat@kremlin.museum.ru

Tickets can only be refunded no later than the date of the visit.
Unfortunately, tickets received at the ticket office on the day of the visit cannot be exchanged or refunded.
If you want to reschedule your visit, you will have to return your tickets and buy new ones. You will also not be able to issue a partial refund of tickets.
In the case of the refund, the money will be refunded to the same card in a few days. The exact time depends on your bank.
No, you can only return the entire order, i.e. all the tickets included in the order. The refund period depends on the type of the ticket and is specified in the Ticket Refund Policy.
